Hello! My name is Jezza Briña, and I am more than delighted to introduce myself as one of the Project Assistants of the International Project Management (IPM) Team at Lexcode. I am 25 years old, and I’m currently in my second month working in the company. Although I am still relatively new in my position, the experience has been so rewarding, and this is what makes me look forward to the future.
Before being a part of Lexcode, I worked for another localization company, so I find it exciting to work here. They both place a strong emphasis on localization, which has always been something that I’ve had a personal interest in. I have realized that by working in this industry, I am able to know how language brings together individuals, much like Lexcode’s tagline, “Language is not a barrier, but an opportunity.” Having had these experiences, it’s thrilling for me to adapt to the team, and I am also looking forward to learning more and growing with them here.
In the future, I would like to be promoted to IPM and handle projects alongside the KR Team. This drives me to further hone my skills in collaboration, problem-solving, and teamwork, and I stay motivated by challenging myself each day to achieve my goals. In addition, seeing my career growth inspires me to keep pushing forward.
In my free time, I also engage in several other activities that interest me and keep me inspired. I consider myself a film connoisseur—I even have an account on Letterboxd where I list all the movies I have seen and give my reviews. I also like to binge-watch Korean dramas; I think I may have probably watched a hundred of them already. As for music, it plays quite a significant role in my existence. I like K-R&B, hip-hop, indie, soul, and K-pop. For K-pop groups, I like listening to Seventeen, NCT, G-IDLE, Red Velvet, and EXO. They are a source of comfort and motivation for me!
Apart from movies and music, my other interests include traveling and other adventurous activities. Traveling opens new horizons and exposes me to different ways of life, boosting my curiosity and imagination. Another hobby of mine is dancing—I believe it is one of the most liberating and invigorating activities one can engage in.
Moreover, what particularly motivates me most in the career I have chosen is my love for the media industry and localization. Being in a profession that involves the utilization of language in the dynamic media sphere is fulfilling. It is the very reason that made me come to Lexcode, and I look forward to seeing how I can develop myself in both my personal and work life.
I am more than eager to go further in this journey and be a part of such a committed and skilled group in Lexcode!
