KabayanXpress clients: people smiling and holding a folder of documents

My name is David San Luis, and I’ve been working at Lexcode Inc. for a little over two months now. During my stay here, I’ve been diving into the world of OFWs, promoting our services while also listening to their stories. I come from a background in marketing within the music industry, so working here has been a breath of fresh air. It feels rewarding to contribute to something that has such a direct and meaningful impact on the lives of Filipinos who are preparing to work abroad.

The main project I’ve been working on is KabayanXpress, a service that provides document translation services for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and visa applicants. With its recent launch, our team has been hands-on both on the ground and online. We’ve been visiting embassies, local government units, and manning agencies that have shown interest in partnering with us. These visits allow us not only to introduce our services but also to better understand the concerns of OFWs and the institutions that support them.

Traveling to these agencies can get tough, especially in the heat, but we do our best to spread the word about the service. Talking to officials and seeing local government offices filled with aspiring OFWs gives us valuable insight into our target audience. It’s in these conversations that we learn about the real challenges they face, from paperwork to delays, and how we can improve our services to meet their needs.

Working in Lexcode and promoting KabayanXpress has shown me that marketing is more than just promoting a service—it’s about building trust and creating real connections. Many of our walk-in clients share their struggles with embassy requirements, from missing documents to unexpected delays. Others worry about mistakes in paperwork like NBI clearances, which often need certified document translation services before submission.

Every conversation with an OFW reminds me that behind every document we work on, whether through our translation agency, is a dream, a sacrifice, and a family waiting back home. That’s why we make sure to provide accurate translation for documents, ensuring reliability at every step.

I’m proud to be part of a team that doesn’t just do business but also serves with purpose. For us, it’s not only about providing services but also about helping Filipinos move closer to their goals, one translated document at a time.
